Well, I'm hestitant to really, really believe that electrification of vehicles is going to be so easy. Not only do we not have anything related to a final, standard vehicle or battery technology, we haven't agreed on energy supply voltage, plug shapes, safety specifications, etc. Especially on a cross-border basis...including between provinces.

Not only that, nobody knows how to sell electric cars.

My parents were going to buy a hybrid car...decided not to because the battery probably wears out after 6-8 years. Well, that means if you want to sell your car after 5 or 6 years, you've got to spend $30k on a new battery first...or you basically won't be able to sell it.

Ouch.
